Welcome to my Glick Travel website. Growing up, my entire career ambition was to be a stewardess so that I could travel the world. Unfortunately, I stopped growing at 5” 2 ½” which was then below the minimum height. My grown up life included a successful career as an accounting software (ERP) consulting business owner – no height restrictions there. I recently retired from the corporate world and decided to turn my passion for travel into a business. Hence, Glick Travel.
My especial interests are: active travel, riverboat cruising, and all of Europe – preferably all three at once. So far, I have visited Italy, Greece, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, and Monaco. I have driven through most of France, cycled through Tuscany and Umbria, and cycled/cruised down the Danube. Along the way, I learned a great deal of how to successfully travel abroad including what to pack (and leave home), how to find great guides and restaurants in every city or town, how to navigate train and subways, and even how to use an unattended laundromat.
My blogs will continue to describe the many joys of foreign travel and of lessons learned. I hope you enjoy my blogs.
